The Salvation Army is seeking your assistance to support The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree and Red Kettle Holiday Fund-raising Campaign as we continue our efforts to help the Coast's six counties (George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River and Stone) get "back to normal".

This is an important and special program that benefits many local needy individuals. Each year The Salvation Army provides food for the hungry, companionship to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter for the disabled, and many more services.

We invite you to attend our 2007 Christmas Cheer (Angel Tree and Kettle) Kickoff on Wednesday, November 21st, 5:00 p.m. at Edgewater Mall, between Traditional Jewelers and Auntie Anne's. We will have a short program with WLOX featuring Christmas Carols and music.

We are also working with Edgewater Mall to provide a gift wrapping service which will be located by our Angel Tree display. We would be happy to wrap gifts for your annual Christmas party as well!

STOCKINGS - Seniors
We are providing Christmas stocking for Senior Citizens this year. If you would like to help, I will be happy to drop some off for you. Suggestions items to include: Gift cards, socks, stamps, cards, stationery, lotion, disposable razors, shaving cream, etc.

KETTLE
We are very happy to announce that this year you can go to http://www.onlineredkettle.org/ to donate and/or sponsor you own business and/or personal Kettle!!!
We are still signing up and need bellringers as well. Would it be possible to put these in employee areas so they can sign up as a Volunteer to ring bells for us? We are ringing at
all the area Walmarts, Edgewater, Diamondhead and several other locations.

ANGEL TREE DISTRIBUTION
Our dates to prepare for distribution are December 13th and 14th and we will be distributing Angel Tree gifts from December 17th through December 20th. We are in need of lunches being provided for our, usually about 75, Volunteers. (We do have commitments for lunch on December 13th and 19th. ) Please consider providing lunch for any of these dates.

May we count on you for bell ringer volunteers, adopting Angels, or a donation?

-Intake forms taken until December 1st
-12 years or under
-Valid picture ID (Driver’s License, State ID, Military ID)
-Original Social Security card AND birth certificate for children (verify are indeed the parent), if Guardian, bring Guardianship documentation
-Current utility bill or lease (verify in correct service area)
-One toy wish
-Children’s clothing sizes written down
