3/9 Non-Profit Organizations and Government Agencies offerings will be made available pursuant to HUD program policies. Non-Profits must be approved by HUD to participate in the Single Family Property Disposition Discount Sales Program. To apply to become a HUD-approved Non-Profit you will need to complete the appropriate non-profit application located on the following HUD web site: http://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/np/np_prog.cfm

2/25 USDA Community Grant Community Programs provides grants to assist in the development of essential community facilities in rural areas and towns of up to 20,000 in population. Grants are authorized on a graduated scale. Applicants located in small communities with low populations and low incomes will receive a higher percentage of grants.

Starting in September, individuals from communities and organizations across America can visit to submit a written essay of 250 words or less describing how the “My Hometown Helper” grant would help improve their community project. Not Really a Grant... You can create a page for people to review and donate to you through. I honestly don't know about it - I don't collect funds, so can't say how well they do. But, it appears on the up and up. I've seen it in a few other places and always has good reviews. 12/1 - I posted information about the Real People Relief site - haven't seen a drastic uptick in views, but it's gone up some - so for no charge, it's one more place to be linked to and appear more popular by the search engines AND be seen by people surfing...
